Ben lead a team of 1,200+ employees across 6 offices that empower millions of businesses and entrepreneurs around the world to grow with his smart marketing and commerce tools, award-winning customer support, and inspiring content and community. Ben a co-founded Mailchimp with Dan Kurzius in 2001 as a side project to his web design agency. He designed Mailchimp as a delightful yet powerful email marketing tool to give small businesses access to technology that was once reserved for the enterprise. 

He love serving small businesses because it’s part of his DNA. He grew up helping his mom around her hair salon that she ran from their family kitchen. They’ve grown a lot in the past 20 years, but his mission to empower the underdog remains as strong as ever. Mailchimp is headquartered in Atlanta with additional offices in Brooklyn, Oakland, Santa Monica, Seattle, and Vancouver.

When Ben Chestnut and Dan Kurzius first started Mailchimp 20 years ago, they had no idea where the journey would take them. Today, they’re taking an exciting next step by entering an agreement to join forces with Intuit. Intuit is a leader in helping small businesses achieve financial success, and by joining forces, they’ll be able to help even more small businesses grow and succeed.

He continue to advocate for his small business customers through research efforts with the data science, product, and marketing teams, and fostering an empathetic and purpose-driven culture at Mailchimp. When he is not on the road visiting customers, he also focus on the workplace, culture, and corporate citizenship at Mailchimp.
